Thermal & Moisture Imaging

Thermal and moisture imaging is a technique that uses specialized cameras to detect temperature and moisture differences within a home's structure. These cameras capture images that show areas of the home where temperature or moisture levels are significantly different from surrounding areas, allowing homeowners to identify potential issues such as energy leaks or water damage.

Thermal imaging can be used to identify areas of a home where heat is escaping, which can lead to higher energy bills and a less comfortable living environment. By identifying these areas, homeowners can take steps to improve insulation, seal air leaks, and upgrade their heating and cooling systems to make their homes more energy-efficient and comfortable.

Moisture imaging can be used to detect water damage or leaks within a home's walls, ceilings, and floors. This is important because water damage can cause significant structural damage and can lead to mold growth, which can cause health problems for residents. By identifying areas where moisture is present, homeowners can take steps to fix leaks, improve ventilation, and prevent mold growth.

Overall, thermal and moisture imaging can be valuable tools for improving the home environment. By identifying areas where energy leaks or water damage are present, homeowners can take practical steps to improve the energy efficiency and safety of their homes, creating a more comfortable and healthy living environment for themselves and their families

Thermal Imaging surveys can detect areas of missing insulation, areas of moisture/damp build up as well as areas of heat loss such as unsealed windows and doors.

Differences in temperature around the property (thermal bridging) will show if the home is poorly or well insulated. A thermal imaging survey will, on average, detect at least two areas of substandard insulation, potentially saving a customer hundreds of pounds on energy bills per year.
